Taylor has been a member of PAX Portfolio Advisory since 2019. He attended the Alberta School of Business at the University of Alberta, where he completed his Bachelor of Commerce in Finance with a Certificate in Real Estate. He holds the Chartered Investment Manager (CIM®) designation and is a Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP), reflecting his commitment to advanced financial planning and wealth management.
The CIM® designation, awarded by the Canadian Securities Institute, is the industry standard for discretionary investment and portfolio management services in Canada. It qualifies professionals to manage client portfolios on a discretionary basis and is recognized by securities regulators nationwide. Earning the CIM® requires rigorous education, relevant work experience, and adherence to a professional code of ethics.
Taylor also holds the TEP designation, granted by the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP). This internationally respected credential signifies expertise in estate planning, trusts, and succession strategies. It demonstrates Taylor's ability to navigate complex family wealth structures and provide guidance on intergenerational wealth transfer, tax-efficient estate planning, and fiduciary responsibilities.
Before entering the financial industry, Taylor was a semi-professional hockey player in the Western Hockey League and later a student-athlete with the University of Alberta Golden Bears. Balancing academics and athletics taught him discipline, time management, and commitment—skills that continue to serve him well in the wealth advisory field.
Family is a central part of Taylor's life. His brother Jordan lives in Sherwood Park, while his parents Jeff and Shari reside in Kelowna. He enjoys spending time golfing, skiing, playing hockey and pickleball.
